The AHS Softball Team will participate in the 6A North Regionals Softball Tournament at Coffee O’Neal Park in Florence, AL on Monday, May 11th and Tuesday May 12th.

Bus service is available only for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Bus service is not available for students at Athens High School, Athens Renaissance School, or Pre-K. If you need bus service for your K-8, you must sign up through New Student Registration (Enrollment), Returning Student Registration (Re-Enrollment), or contact your school. The following bags are permitted inside Athens City Schools Athletics Facilities:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC that do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12" (tote bags, fanny packs, cross-body bags, etc.)
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziplock type bag or similar)
- Small clutch bags, with or without a handle or strap, that do not exceed 4.5" x 6.5" (approximately the size of a hand).
- Please note that individuals are limited to (1) clear bag plus (1) small clutch.

Athens City Schools Board of Education will meet on Thursday, June 11 in the Central Office Board Room. Work Session will begin at 4:30 PM, followed by the Board Meeting at 5:00 PM.

ACS will be open Mondays - Thursdays from 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, starting May 25 - July 24.

Athens City Schools is excited to announce Returning Student Registration (Re-Enrollment) for the 2026-2027 school year. Returning Student Registration is for rising 1st - 12th grade students currently enrolled in ACS. Please check your primary email for a Snapcode from PowerSchool Registration Support and follow the instructions provided. Families will receive a separate snapcode email for each currently enrolled student. The deadline to complete re-enrollment is Friday, May 15. For more information, visit acs-k12.org/reenrollment. Don't delay, re-enroll today!
