Welcome to Athens High School Choir!
WELCOME to one of the most exciting experiences in which you can be a part – THE CHOIR! The Athens Middle & High School choir programs exist to offer every individual the chance to experience the pleasure of self-expression at a new level. The study of music enhances every aspect of one’s future. It affords students the opportunity to reach into their personal potential and enjoy the achievement of both personal and group goals. We offer a variety of performing opportunities throughout the school year for students to grow musically, emotionally, and intellectually. In addition to developing students' individual musical gifts, team building and developing relationships are an integral part of our performing ensembles. We are developing young people to be successful at anything they choose to do in life.

AHS CHOIR IS HEADING TO CARNEGIE HALL - AND THEY NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
Fourteen Golden Eagles will participate in the 2024 Festival at Carnegie Hall National Youth Choir. Students will learn a variety of musical selections, led by world-renowned composers and conductors, as well as perform on the prestigious Ronald O. Perelman Stage in Carnegie Hall. Athens High School Choir was selected and invited to perform after a formal application process. Students attending the Festival at Carnegie Hall will experience the rich history and tradition of arts that are part of the diverse culture of New York City. The cost per student is $2,500. Throughout the school year, Athens Choir has held various fundraisers to help offset the costs, including donut sales, spirit shirts, and more. Festival at Carnegie Hall Information
The AHS Choir has been selected to participate in the Festival at Carnegie Hall: National Youth Choir March 8-11, 2024! This is an amazing opportunity for our school to perform in the world-renowned Carnegie Hall in collaboration with the finest school-aged singers in the United States.
