Mr. Michael Holt

I am excited to be a part of the Golden Eagle Family! I am entering my 18th year of education and 1st year as an Assistant Principal.  I am a lifelong educator, having worked in Texas, Tennessee and Alabama as a teacher and coach.  Recently, I was the Head Basketball Coach and a Special Education Teacher at Clements High School in Limestone County Schools.   My wife, Erika, works at New Century High School in Huntsville, where she teaches Science. My oldest son, Bryce, will attend U of A as a freshman.  My next, Braden, is a sophomore at Madison County High School. My youngest, Houston, attends GSES in Huntsville.  

I enjoy sports, attending my son's events athletically and academically, and participating in F3 work-outs. I also enjoy traveling, listening to music and cooking out.  

I hope to help oversee a great student body that takes pride in their school and community.  Children will be provided opportunities that allow them to build long-lasting relationships, challenge themselves to be better than yesterday and prepare each to set and attain personal goals as they enjoy their four years at Athens High School.
