Athens High School Executive Principal

Mr. Moore began his educational career over 26 years ago..  He worked in Bibb and Dallas counties before coming to Athens City Schools. He served as a classroom teacher, coach, athletics director, assistant principal, and principal. Mr. Moore has been involved with a number of committees throughout his career. He joined Athens City Schools in 2018 and has served as assistant principal,  associate principal and now serves as Executive Principal of AHS.  

Mr. Moore’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from The University of Alabama and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Alabama State University. 

Mr. Moore is honored to serve and work with students, teachers, and staff at Athens High School as the Executive Principal.  He believes the key to a successful school is having a positive atmosphere and good communication among staff, students, and parents.  He also feels that working together as a team is essential to a school’s success.
